Playbook Studios has been the social design partner for the Women's Super League across two consecutive seasons.
For the 2024/25 season, we worked with the WSL on the development of new style guides and the design of a refreshed set of social media templates, covering scores, league tables, statistical graphics, statements and broadcast times. The system gave the league's content team a consistent visual identity across every recurring content moment of the season.
For 2025/26, the league relaunched under new governance and a new visual identity. WSL Football, the body now running the top two tiers of women's football in England, introduced a refreshed brand alongside the renaming of the Women's Championship to the Women's Super League 2. The 2024/25 partnership meant the client trusted us to deliver again at scale. We took on the full digital social template suite, designing over 30 templates across both leagues, supporting WSL and WSL 2 coverage with a single, coherent system under the new visual identity.
The result is one of the most comprehensive social media template systems we have produced, supporting every fixture, every result, and every announcement across the top two tiers of English women's football.
