Playbook Studios works with St Helens R.F.C., one of the most successful clubs in rugby league, as their ongoing creative partner across both digital and printed output.

Matchday is the heartbeat of the relationship. We produce social media graphics for every home game across multiple sizes, designed to work alongside printed assets used in and around the stadium. The creative direction evolves season to season. The 2025 templates centred on the club's iconic "V" motif, taken directly from the kit.

For 2026, we developed a new look and feel for the membership drive, recreating the font style and visual vibes of the club's epic 1996 season to mark 30 years since the birth of the Super League and 30 years since St Helens won the league title. That retro identity was the first piece of creative in the new style, and it has since been adopted club-wide across every digital and printed touchpoint, from retail and communications to matchday and social.

Alongside matchday, we work on membership campaigns, kit launches, Christmas event promotion and other seasonal moments throughout the year. Every brief is approached with the same goal in mind: easy-to-use creative that gives the club's content team the structure to deliver fresh, on-brand work quickly, while leaving room for the bigger campaigns to feel distinctive in their own right.
